Following a visit to South Africa I was inspired by the plants, animals and landscapes of this diverse and beautiful country.  Whilst travelling through the landscapes I took photographs which I have used to inform and influence me in creating my textiles.

The vibrant colours of Aloe Vera, Protae and Bird Of Paradise plants feature in the textile pieces that I have created. Oranges, greens, yellows, reds and purples are printed, woven, stitched and knitted into the textile samples that I have created.

The colours and textures of arid landscapes of grasslands and deserts combined with the vivid colours of blue & orange African skies, complemented by Zebras, Giraffes, Lions and other African animals feature in woven and printed pieces.
